Spoke to Shayla at Peak Alarm to let her know I would be on site between 12:15-12:30 to do the inspection. I also asked her to relay to the technician that I would need to re-verify signals in addition to verifying the Netcon rating. She indicated the technician would be notified.

(3:30pm 2nd inspection) Fire Alarm (NetCon) test failed. Rating reported a connectivity rating of 6. Minimum rating required per the manufacturers published installation instructions require a rating of 5 or less.

(11:30am 1st inspection) Fire Alarm inspection performed. At the time of this fire alarm inspection the building fire sprinkler system monitoring was verified by the central alarm monitoring facility. However, the Network Connectivity (NetCon) rating for the new AES transmitter component could not be verified by the field inspector because the applicant did not have in their possession the required tool to perform this test. The applicant agreed to return later in the afternoon, with the required tool, in order to perform the required (NetCon) test with the City field inspector. Final approval of this fire alarm permit is subject to satisfactory field inspection by the PDS/Fire inspector.
