This quick permit is to relocate an existing horn/strobe and add a new horn/strobe due to a wall being relocated. Approval is subject to field measurement of the EOL voltage drop. The voltage drop calculations are based on a 10% drop, therefore the minimum acceptable voltage is 21.6V with the AC power off. Any measurement below this voltage will be considered insufficient to run the NACs at the end of useful battery life of 20.4V. UL 864, Standard for Control Units for Fire Signaling Systems. The installing contractor shall have available at final inspection a voltage meter and measure end of line voltages; witnessed by the field inspector. There are no written review comments. Associated building permit: BLD09-01239 (UNITED WATER T.I.) Permit is to remodel an existing tenant space to meet the tenant's needs. Approval per approved plans on file and engineering attached to plans. Work to include: [demolition and construction of interior non-bearing walls, no additional rooms created, just modified], relocating lighting, new doors and associated hardware, relocating ducts and diffusers, new accessible sales and service counter, and interior finishes in compliance with chapter 8 of the 2006 IBC. Drawings were not to 1/8"=1' scale, the entire GIS room needs to be shown with all existing notification devices and their respective candela ratings indicated. The existing notification device in the south area of the hall needs to have it's candela indicated. New walls may have changed or limited the notification coverage in these areas and this information needs to be verified before approval can be given.
