Spoke to Mike at Allied General. He stated that the permit application was wrong to state the scope was for HVAC shut down. They actually wanted to use a Duct Detector for fire/smoke damper shut down. I let him know that the duct detectors are not listed for f/s damper shut down and that he would need to submit a plan modification putting the in-duct detector back in.

The duct smoke detector is being used for fire/smoke damper operation which is outside of the duct smoke detectors listing since it is not listed to 0cfm. I spoke to Randy on site and Mike in the office. No testing was performed.
