Description	9/6/2012 PLAN MODIFICATION (no initiating devices affected): This plan modification is to provide non-addressable relay modules to control the recall functions of the elevator, and to tie in the elevator fire curtains to close on general alarm. 9/3/2010:This quick permit is to provide a heat and a smoke detector in the elevator equipment room for elevator recall and shunt trip functions. Devices are to be added to the existing circuit. There is no indication of the fireman's hatlight on the I/O matrix. Per the contractor, the elvators do not contain a fireman's hat light. If the elevator has a fireman's hat light, a plan modification shall be required to include these functions. There are no written review comments. There is no associated building permit.

Spoke to Inspector Cobbley regarding the light in the elevator. It is just a light that actuates during recall functions letting the passenger know it is returning to the recall floor. This is acceptable for the age of the elevator and meets requirements it was installed under. Because this is a direct function of the elevator and has nothing to do with the fire alarm control panel programming, it is not required to be included in the I/O matrix.

No test was performed at this location. Plan modifications are needed since a hat/light does light up in the elevator car. Also no shunt trip has been provided for the heat detector to activate. There are also sprinkler heads at the top and bottom of the elevator shaft.
