The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of changing portions of two existing systems to group A plastic storage on racks. The storage is Styrofoam packing material. Storage is 25’ high and the maximum building height is 32’. There are no solid shelves. Aisle widths shall be 3.5’ or greater. The existing control mode sprinklers are being changed to ESFR sprinklers. A new fire pump is being provided rated at 1250 Gpm @ 80 Psi. A draft curtain is shown separating the control mode sprinklers from the ESFR sprinklers.


Building Department Scope:

(Shell & Core – Fire Pump Room) Permit is to upgrade an existing fire riser room to be fully rated and comply with the other provisions of a Fire Pump Room (Last occupied by BMC West Door Plant). Approval contingent upon adhering to the approved plans on file. Work to include: construction of interior non-bearing walls to create the rated fire pump room, installation of new accessible door / hardware, installation of new mechanical vents, and finishes in compliance with chapter 8 of the 2006 IBC. This building is fully Fire Sprinklered with an approved Fire Alarm system. Any alterations or modifications to the buildings Fire Sprinkler or Fire Alarm system WILL REQUIRE A SEPARATE PERMIT and shall be installed per NFPA 13 & NFPA 72 as regulated by the Boise Fire Department. Any racking installed exceeding 8 ft. in height will require a separate racking permit. **TLW**
