The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of protecting a new addition. The addition has a warehouse and freezer. The existing system consists of several trees link to a center feed main. The new addition is a grid with 4”x2½x2” pipe sizing. The system is supplied by 8” Udg with yard Piv through a 6” backflow preventer. There is also a 2½” hose system. The storage arrangement in the new addition is listed in the review..





Building Department Scope:

B and D Foods - Warehouse and Freezer Addition - To construct a 12,585 square foot, one story, pre-engineered metal building warehouse and freezer addition on the east side of an existing 26,000 square foot, one story office and warehouse building. The addition will have within it a 4,340 square foot freezer warehouse and an 895 square foot, wood framed mezzanine above the breakroom/restroom area. This permit also includes related site improvements. All construction per the approved plans and attached comment list. JCM

Is the space below the stairs going to the mezzanine blocked in to prevent storage?
Is the mezzanine framing noncombustible?
Is the storage arrangement in both the freezer and warehouse non encapsulated?
What is the total Sqft amount of storage in the ENTIRE system?
What is the total Sqft of the building?

Yes, there will be NO access to store under the stairs.
No, the mezz is constructed of TJI's with sheet rock on the bottom. Protected by SSU over SSP (I informed him this would necessitate calculating 3000 Sqft) He is checking with the GC on an alternate approach.
Correct, Warehouse and Freezer both non-encapsulated commodities.
The existing Building and New building combined sqft is 38,140.
