Description	This fire alarm permit is to replace the existing sprinkler monitoring system with new. The new fire alarm system will consist of a pull station, monitor modules for the sprinkler system valves and duct detectors for HVAC shutdown. Associated building permit: BLD10-02989 (TRINITY HEALTH) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase. To create a 24,796 square foot office tenant space within an existing 33,000 square foot, 1 story building. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, modified suspended ceilings, interior doors with sidelights, interior doors, and finishes. In addition, a new 5 foot opening will be created in an existing interior wood shear wall. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. A "vanilla finish" permit (BLD10-02988) for the adjacent tenant space is included on the same drawings. An interior nonstructural demolition permit (BLD10-02923) and a partial permit (BLD10-02987) have also been issued. CJW

Spoke to Rob Ahten at Protex. I told him there is a discrepency between the designer listed on the fire permit application, and the engineer of record for the fire alarm listed with the submitted building plans. He stated that the engineer listed is no longer part of the project. I asked him to please have the architect submit a letter to the building department requesting to have the fire plans submitted with the building set stricken from those plans. He indicated it would be done tomorrow. I also requested a revised operations matrix and went over the items missing from it. He stated he would revise that and email it to me as soon as possible.
