This fire alarm permit is to provide a new manual system in an existing remodeled building. This permit scope includes partial area smoke detection for door holder release, pull stations, notification, HVAC monitoring/shutdown, and elevator recall functions.
Associated building permit: BLD11-00037 (TERRY REILLY HEALTH SERVICES) (DRH10-00277) This building is NOT fire sprinklered. To remodel an existing 15,195 square foot building (7,101 square foot basement, 7,613 square foot 1st story, 481 square foot 2nd story) and convert it to a medical outpatient clinic. This facility is NOT classified as an ambulatory health care facility because no one will be rendered incapable of self-preservation. Work is to include 6 toilet rooms accessible to the disabled, 2 toilet/shower rooms accessible to the disabled, exterior concrete ramp accessible to the disabled, exterior concrete stairway, exterior steel canopy over the new ramp and stairway, new concrete lintel and jambs at new exterior wall openings, exterior windows and doors, masonry elevator shaft, elevator, interior nonbearing walls, interior windows and doors, new roof covering with insulation installed on top of the roof deck, new roof top HVAC units, gypsum board ceilings, suspended acoustical ceilings, millwork, 1-hr corridors, and interior finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
