The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding sprinklers above and below a new office area in an existing building. The new office area is supplied from the overhead 4”x4”x1½” grid. The grid is supplied from a 6” feed main. There will be a new 2” tap into the existing 4” main.


Building Department Scope:

Permit is to construct a calibration room with a structural lid within an existing F-1 occupancy. Building Downgraded to type IIIB constructions. Approval contingent upon adhering to the approved plans on file and structural engineering attached. Work to include: construction of interior bearing and non-bearing walls to create a calibration room, new lighting, new mechanical ducting, and finishes in compliance with chapter 8 of the 2006 IBC. This building is fully Fire Sprinklered with an approved Fire Alarm system. Any alterations or modifications to the buildings Fire Sprinkler or Fire Alarm system WILL REQUIRE A SEPARATE PERMIT and shall be installed per NFPA 13 & NFPA 72 as regulated by the Boise Fire Department. **TLW**


Fire Sprinkler System Design/Spacing:

Pipe sizing was based and increase from an original office area. Therefore, new hydraulic calculations were not required.
