Description	5/3/11 PLAN MODIFICATION (no initiating devices affected): This plan modification is to relocate and/or increase candela rating of notification due to changes in wall layout and as a result of previous review comments and redlines. 4/21/11:This fire alarm permit is to replace the existing combination fire/burglary panel with a new FACP and provide a manual fire alarm system. The partial sprinkler system is in the corridors only. Notification throughout the building is being provided, a smoke above the new FACP, as well as pull stations at the exits as part of the required manual fire alarm system. There is no associated building permit. A DSC wireless communicator is being utilized to transmit signals from the DACT to the monitoring station. This eliminates the need for two phone lines.

Bryan and I went over device placement changes. He wants to change device locations to ease the installation. With the location changes candella's will be effected which will effect power draw and end of line voltage. Also the pantry and the restroom located near the kitchen will require notification. Resubmittals are required to show these changes prior to inspection.

Emailed Mary Froemke (ECI) regarding protection in the corridors and requested her to let me know the direction the tenant wants to take (i.e. provide a letter from the tenant stating there would be no personal effects stored in the corridors or lobbies, provide a letter from the tenant stating personal effects would be stored in metal lockers, provide smoke detection in the corridors and areas open to the corridors, or provide a full automatic sprinkler system in the building. The review is on hold until the desired approach is communicated to me.
