The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding new above and below protection to new extension of a wing at an existing school. The existing branch lines are being extended to provide protection for the addition. There will be no new main piping. The feed main supplying the existing wing is a long run of 3” pipe. The existing cross main is also 3”. The existing branch lines are 1½”” with 2” riser nipples. The new extension of the branch lines will be 2”.


Building Department Scope:

Morley Nelson Elementary School - Classroom Addition - To construct a 5,627 square foot, one story classroom and restroom addition at the south end of the south wing of an existing 58,243 square foot elementary school. The addition is constructed of masonry exterior walls with wood framed roof trusses and metal interior stud walls, to match existing school construction. The addition contains four new classrooms and two new accessible restrooms. This permit also includes related site improvements. The original school building was completed in 2008 under building permit BLD06-03277. All construction per the approved plans and attached comment list. JCM
