Per the contractor, the smoke detector is being replaced with a heat detector because the lobby doors are constantly open to the exterior and are causing false alarms and problems with the smoke detector (see heat detector data sheet in submittal documents). Relocate the heat detector in the elevator shaft to within 2' of the sprinkler head, provide photo smoke detector in the first floor exterior entry as per plans, program for alternate floor recall when the machine room smoke detector is activated, provide firemans flashing hat per the drawings or remove the addressable relay/wiring/programming and provide as-built drawings showing the changes.
