The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding and relocating sprinklers to the existing gridded system due to new wall and ceiling construction.


Building Department Scope:

(NORTHWEST NAZARENE UNIVERSITY - MK CENTRAL PLAZA - EASE SIDE) Fire sprinklers used for unlimited building area. To remodel a 4,410 square foot area located on the 1st story (Ease side) of MK Central Plaza to be used as classrooms for adult students. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, new doors, and interior finishes. The existing smoke control system, including passive smoke barriers, is required to be maintained as originally approved. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. Required accessible upgrades to restrooms will be done under a separate future permit. The owner has agreed to apply for an upgrade permit by September 26, 2011. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. The fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
