The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of adding and relocating sprinklers to accommodate new wall and ceiling construction. The work is divided into two separate areas the SE and NE area of the building. The existing system is a 2½”x4”x2½”x1.25” center rail grid that is supplied by a 4” riser.


Building Department Scope:

(GSA-DEPT OF AGRICULTURE – South East & North East corners of the Blue Heron Building) Permit is to remodel an existing 44,664 square foot office building. This building is fully fire sprinklered for area increase. Approval contingent upon adhering to the approved plans on file and plan review report. Work to include: [installation / demolition of interior partition walls to create a warehouse (S-1) area and multiple office/open office (B) areas], installation of a new floor sink, installation / relocation of new lighting, installation of new doors / accessible hardware, and finishes in compliance with chapter 8 of the 2009 IBC. This building is fully Fire Sprinklered with an approved Fire Alarm system. Any alterations or modifications to the buildings Fire Sprinkler or Fire Alarm system WILL REQUIRE A SEPARATE PERMIT and shall be installed per NFPA 13 & NFPA 72 as regulated by the Boise Fire Department.**TLW**


Fire Sprinkler System Design/Spacing:

The existing system demand was reported as 619 Gpm @ 38 Psi. The new flow test of 07-07-11 is S-60, R-20, Q-2500. The new flow test has 5 Psi less static pressure than the original flow test. However, the system demand is still well below the available water supply.
