Description	This quick permit is for an emergency replacement of an existing fire alarm panel that stopped functioning. For this case only, a quick permit is being allowed in leu of a regular permit. The existing FACP is no longer available to replace, however per the manufacturer, the submitted FACP is a direct replacement, and is being treated as "like-for-like". Due to the panel replacement, devices are to be tested at %100, however the notification does not need to be brought up to current code. Notification devices are to be inspected to ensure they meet the code they were installed under (1997 UFC). There are no written review comments. There is no associated building permit.

Called and left a message with Charlie at Simplexgrinnell regarding an existing (issued) fire permit FIR09-00563 to replace the DACT with an AES radio. This new permit is to replace a non-functioning FACP. I also called John with Fire Sentry Systems to see if he would call the owner to get clarification on what the intent is (i.e. if the owner has been paying for the monitoring of the AES and wants to maintain it, Simplexgrinnell will need to get this permit finaled or work with Fire Sentry Systems on providing it for the new panel. Will put the submittal on hold until I hear back from both contractors and/or the owner.
