Description	This fire alarm permit is to provide monitor modules for new hood suppression systems, relocate existing initiating and notification devices, and add new notification to accommodate a tenant remodel. Associated building permit: BLD11-01344 (HEWLETT PACKARD) (PHASE II CAFE' - SERVERY REMODEL) Remodel to the existing dining / preparation assembly use cafeteria per approved plans. Work to include select interior demolition. Modification of existing kitchen area to become a large servery area for patrons to pass through selecting food and beverage choices before going to the seating areas. Modifications to the existing 1-hour roof/ceiling assembly (ESR-1222) and 1-hour occupancy separation wall separating the original A2.1 assembly dining / kitchen area accessory use area per the UBC under which remodels & upgrades were done, from the adjacent two story 'B' occupancy office building. Building 1, 2, 3, 5, & 7 of the Hewlet Packard campus are part of an unlimited area building as a 'B' occupancy use with 60 feet all around and fully sprinklered. The A2.1 dining / kitchen area was required to be of type II-1 hour construction and an accessory use to building three. Todays inspection was a walk throught to verify device placement prior to actual testing. I found two strobes that are overspaced that will need to be relocated or have the candella increased. Also there is an existing manual pull station that is mounted above 48". I need verification that it met the code under which it was installed or it needs to be lowered.
