The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of bringing the existing fire protection up to limited current code requirements due to an occupancy change. All sprinklers will be changed from standard response type too quick response type. Floor control valves will be added.


Building Department Scope:

(SAGE INTERNATIONAL CHARTER SCHOOL) Remodel changing occupancy from a business use to an educational use - school for 6th through 9th grade in an existing three story 22,046 sq. ft. building per approved plans. Total occupant load of this building (staff and students) cannot exceed 250 persons without a full seismic analysis and any upgrade work needed is completed. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered for for additional story increase and fire area > 12,000 s.f., "E" occ.Work includes select interior demolition on the 1st floor under separate permit BLD11-01736. New work includes remodel of the first floor to create classrooms; new fully accessible unisex restroom, existing restroom lavatories and HI-LO drinking fountain; modify all door hardware to comply with accessibility by adding lever hardware. Existing required exits have panic hardware. There is an approved alternate of a designated maximum occupant load of 250 staff and students.
