Description	The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of providing protection for System 4 Clean Room Photo Bay and Clean Link Photo Bay. The Clean Room Photo Bay part of the system is a 4”x4”x2” grid with a 6” feed main. The Clean Link Photo Bay has above and below protection which is supplied by two long 2” branch lines. Note: See permit FIR11-00301, FIR11-00365, FIR11-0431, FIR11-00448 for the review on other portions of this building Note: The nonclean link running through and parallel with column line 4 has not been included in this review. Building Department Scope: Micron Building B50 - R&D Building - To construct a new 111,005 square foot, two story, with 71,855 square foot basement, concrete and steel semiconductor fabrication R & D facility and related site improvements. The first floor level is 89, 435 sq. ft. (60,100 sq. ft. finished and 29,325 sq. ft. unfinished). The second floor is a 21,570 sq. ft. mechanical space (16,170 sq. ft. used and 5,400 square feet future). The basement level (subfab.) has 43,295 sq. ft. finished and 28,560 unfinished. Noted items include missing retainers at several beam clamps on branchlines, 4" and 6" mains, missing hanger at arm-over, pendent heads are blocked or obstructed at numerous locations due to proximity to AMH brackets, flex head whips are not yet installed at various areas in the clean link, missing seismic bracing at the 6" main, secure EQ brace at the 4" main, added 90s at branchlines in the photo bay are not included in the calcs.- branch line restraint at these locations shall be provided per NFPA 13 9.3.6.4.

Spoke with Jim Darr. He called back after saying he was providing trapeze hangers for the main. He now says he does not want to trapeze the mains. I told him if he wanted to hang the main from one truss that I would need a letter from a mechanical engineer indicating the truss will support the main. The project is on hold pending this information.
