The Fire Sprinkler Scope of work consists of a new two-story office warehouse. The new 6” underground under a separate permit supplies a 6” wall piv, 6” backflow preventer, 6” header, one 4” and two 2½” floor control valves. One of which is a (2½”) dry system for the loading dock. The warehouse portion is a 4”x4”x2” grid. The office area is a tree with 2½” and 2” mains with telescoping branch piping. The partial second floor has a 2½” main with telescoping branch piping. EC17 sprinklers are being utilized for the warehouse area based on 144 Sqft., 15’ maximum and 8’ minimum spacing.

Fire Prevention Officer and Fire Inspector
Based on the owner’s certificate and combustible storage form the storage does not have plastics except for 1-2 pallets of EPDM gaskets less than 5’ high and is less than 25% by volume plastic. (Please, see Fire Sprinkler Design and Spacing below.) There is no idle pallet storage. If the storage should change and no longer correlates with this information, please take appropriate action.

Contractor’s Note: The building permit has not been issued at this time. The building department may determine that changes are required to the building plans in order to meet code. These changes may affect the sprinkler system. The sprinkler contractor will be required to make all necessary changes that may be required. Therefore, if the sprinkler contractor chooses to proceed without an issued building permit they will do so on their own cognizance.

Underground was permitted under FIR11-00374

The building will be constructed under permit BLD11-00946. As owner or designated agent, I acknowledge that I am performing this work at my own risk without assurance that the permit for the entire building structure will be granted, and I agree to make any modifications to the early foundation work performed as may be required to comply with the City Codes and the final approved building plans and conditions. All per engineered plans on file.
