This quick permit is to provide two new horn/strobes to the existing fire alarm system to accomodate a tenant remodel. Approval is subject to field measurement of the EOL voltage drop. For appliances with an operating voltage range of 16V – 33V, the minimum acceptable voltage is 19.6V with the AC power off. Any measurement below this voltage will be considered insufficient to run the NACs at the end of useful battery life of 20.4V. UL 864, Standard for Control Units for Fire Signaling Systems. The installing contractor shall have available at final inspection a voltage meter and measure end of line voltages; witnessed by the field inspector. There are no written review comments. Associated building permit: BLD11-02973 (HP BLDG 7 - PACKAGE TEST LAB EXPANSION) Construct interior non-bearing non-rated walls to create a Package Test Lab in conjunction with recent test lab relocation and testing facilities. This new room will occupy a portion of the existing Shipping Receiving Area; relocated double doors installed; modified ceiling; mechanical & electrical services upgrades for new use. A separate permit is required before any work can be done for any modifications of the existing sprinkler or alarm systems as regulated by the Fire Department. Limited rack storage of products used in packaging test lab, with storage height limited to 12 feet or less. Racks to be secured to each other, the floor and / or walls to provide lateral support. Scope of work will not increase building area, occupant load or occupancy use groups. drs
