Description
This fire alarm quick permit is to relocate an existing horn/strobe and adding a new horn/strobe due to a classroom being divided into two separate classrooms. There are no written review comments. Associated building permit: BLD12-01826. Approval is subject to field measurement of the EOL voltage drop. For appliances with an operating voltage range of 16V – 33V, the minimum acceptable voltage is 19.6V with the AC power off. Any measurement below this voltage will be considered insufficient to run the NACs at the end of useful battery life of 20.4V (per UL 864, Standard for Control Units for Fire Signaling Systems). See NFPA 72 2010 Handbook 18.3.2.3 for further assistance with calculations. The installing contractor shall have available at final inspection a voltage meter and measure end of line voltages; witnessed by the field inspector
