Recieved an email from Brian at Local Fire explaining the modifications made to the the fire alarm system. They included:
1.We removed fire hat relay for elevators because the elevators do not have fire hat option.
2.We added 2 smoke detectors to the elevator mechanical room due to concrete barriers.
3.We relocated the 1st floor stairwell pull stations from the hall to inside the stairwell by the stairwell exit doors.
4.We removed the fire pump phase reversal module because the pump equipment does not do phase reversal.
5.We added one 15 cd strobe on 4th floor in an exam room that showed as an office on the original plan.
6.We added 2 15 cd strobes on 5th floor. One in a conference room that showed as an office and one in a break room that showed as an office.
I let him know this was acceptable for as-builts and would not require a plan modification.

Sent an email to Brian with Local Fire & Security requesting information. The plans indicate the existing offsite monitoring is being changed to having the signals go to a St. Al's control room. I asked for a copy of the agreement allowing this. I explained in the email that if there is no agreement in place, this will not be allowed for this building and offsite monitoring will be required.

Spoke to Deputy Chief Gervais regarding the monitoring for this building. He stated that he is unaware of an allowance or agreement to not have offsite monitoring. He agrees that this building is required to have offsite monitoring provided.
