This fire alarm permit is to remove existing notification no longer within the public corridor, and provide notification to new conference rooms added in the T.I. A new NAC panel is being provided to accommodate the new notification devices. This is an addition to the existing voice evacuation system. Initiating devices are not part of this permit scope of work.

History: The fire alarm panel was replaced in 2001 and an upgrade agreement began in 2002. The agreement included the addition of smoke detectors on each floor's common area corridor and installation of A/V fire strobes in each restroom and common area corridors. Floors 9 and 10 had the enclosed corridors "removed" and an additional stairway between the floors was installed. At that time, the fire alarm system (notification) was installed on these floors the same as the remainder of the floors, regardless of "open space" issues. Notification was not required through the TI space.
