The new 15cd strobe in the corridor is overspaced. Also notification needs to be extended into the corridor in front of the restrooms since the door that is shown on the building plans has not been installed. No testing was actually performed. All other spacing within the tenant space appears ok. Tim and I discussed options.

Inspector Cobbley called to discuss redlines I put on the floorplan. There were two areas/spaces that were not labeled for use, so I stated these areas would need to be field verified for use and notification requirements. The area the the north of device NO;3-2 was verified to be a small corridor leading from the tenant space to a restroom corridor. The door shown separating the restroom corridor from this space is not actually there. Because the building permit scope of work included this area due to door hardware requirements, it makes it part of the fire alarm scope of work as well. This space requires a notification device due to its use (which the contractor did install). However, because the 2nd door is not there, it is open to the restroom corridor and requires notification in that space as well under this permit. I let the inspector know that any other notification deficiencies outside the spaces mentioned above would need to be turned over to the fire department and would not affect this permit scope of work. This building does require full notification due to greater than 100 occupant load above the lowest level of exit discharge.
