Correction and adjustment items noted today include; non-functional visual notification at ADA unit 1013, plans show incorrect room numbers for FACP units in buildings 6 and 9, MP stations for panel at buildings 5,6, and 7 did not activate horn strobes.

Gatehouse system inspection items inlcude; provde H/S at the workshop, SD at the 1st floor office needs relocated away from the HVAC diffuser, change descriptor at the 2nd floor SD storage room, alarm verification feature appears to be enabled for system smokes, panel map needs to include initiating device locations per review note #26, provide knox box per review comment #27, need FD approval for the toggle switch at the main panel MP. HD not tested at this time. Notification appliances and manual pull stations tested okay.

Michael from Taylor Brothers came by to pick up. failed plan mod submittal. We reviewed the plans originally marked up and approved by Stephanie Cobbley. He noted a few variances. 1) Forrest was on site to answer field questions. During that visit, Michael indicated that Forrest allowed the annunciaor to be eliminated due to the fie alarm panel actually being in the near proximity of the entry. 2) a wall at the top of the stairs of the Gate House looked like it was blocking visual notification. Michael indicated that the wall is half height and does not block. 3) a small room behind the dryers looked like it would need visual notification. Michael indicated that it is not a common or public access area since it is onluy used to access that back side of the dryers for service and maintenance work. All 3 items are to be field verified. Plan mod is being reviewed again after this discussion.

Received an email from Mary Castle of Taylor Brothers indicating the owner would like to increase the number of accessible rooms from 5 to 12, which would meet current code requirements. She wanted to know if we wanted to do a plan mod or new permit. Also, she wanted to know if we wanted to do inspections at the same time or delay and provide inspections seperately. I told her that it may be more convenient to have all inspections at the same time but to proceed which ever way was more convenient to Taylor brothers and the owner. She will inform PDS which way they will proceed prior to beginning.
