Received a phone cal from Rob Ahten requesting that the added speaker strobe in the reception area be removed from the plan IF the previous plan meets visible and audible code. According to Rob, the general contractor had already painted the wall where the device was to be placed and doesn't want it messed up. I informed Rob that IF the original layout meets code with visual coverage and that the wall device is properly removed and calcs are properly revised then it would be acceptable. We need to verify that the device is not laying above the ceiling and has been properly removed.
