Idaho Aquarium project is to add notification devices; we are adding a new NAC panel trigger by an existing FACP. We are adding 9 ceiling horn strobes over the exhibition areas and 4 ceiling strobes on the public bathrooms. Associated with building permit BLD12-03324. (IDAHO AQUARIUM - EXPANSION) Fire sprinkler system used for building area increase and for fire area. To expand an existing 9,264 square foot tenant space into an adjacent 4,597 square foot area. After the expansion, this tenant space will have a total floor area of about 13,861 square feet and an assembly occupant load of 393. The first permit for the Idaho Public Aquarium was BLD11-01835 and the second was BLD12-00811. The use of this tenant space is for exhibit tours. A total of about 6,480 square feet of floor area will be available for this use. This facility is NOT approved for day camps and/or overnight stays. Site built aquariums are required to comply with the Structural Engineer’s design. Special inspection is required for epoxy anchors, welding, concrete, and masonry. Precautions shall be taken to prevent children from falling into the aquariums. If guards are not provided, sufficient adult supervision is required at all times when children are present. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW*
