On site visit with contractor regarding SA locations at living units- discussed min. distances from HVAC registers, ceiling fans, bathroom doors, cooking appliances, walls, etc. Also noted missing visual notification at ADA unit guest bathrooms and obstructed coverage at units provided with a divided vanity adjacent to the bedroom.

Charlie Bayne call to inform me that most of the open area, dwelling unit detectors need to be adjusted from their original position due to the mechanical system return air duct being to close. I told Charlie that as long as the current code requirements were still met, this would be acceptable. Charlie confirmed that they would verify and comply with maximum distances from sleeping rooms and minimum distances from cooking appliances & bathrooms. As built drawings will be required to indicate all relocated locations.
