Description
There are currently 2 buildings on site. Both buildings report to one fire alarm panel. We are separating each with its own fire alarm panel. (See FIR14-00689) The system will include sprinkler monitoring, kitchen hood monitoring, duct smoke detection for HVAC shutdown and . There is no associated building permit. Fire barriers exist between major tenant spaces to minimize total occupant load and currently eliminate the requirement for audible and visible alarm notification within the building.

Today we tested the smoke and pull station at the FACP and the PIV and anti-freeze tampers in the Buffalo Club riser room. They functioned correctly. The smoke and pull activated the notification in the Buffalo Club. When the inspectors test was actiated in Harbor Freight neither flow switch at the Buffalo Club activated. Also no updated plans were available on site.

Need to show additional tamper valve on the anti-freeze loop, duct detectors in Harbor Freight did not shut down the hvac units and a separate but some what interconnected fire alarm system in the Buffalo Club. I need John to find out the exact sequence of operation of both panels and how they are interconnected and extent of the fire sprinkler system that the two panel cover and present this information to plan review for a plan modification.
