Final fire alarm system inspection. All system functions and operations tested OK. Could not put into service off-site due to many fire sprinklers still in trouble (valves closed) due to work that needed to be completed. All sprinkler systems are now in service and the FACP is cleared. System will remain in service from this point on. As Builts were recently submitted to the city for review with some minor changes in SFDs, etc.

Completion of fire alarm system testing, including test os all HVAC shutdown SDS that were not operating last visit. Tested DP valves in PG, however one system (north side) did not operate correctly. Tested all notification devices in garage that were missing at last inspection. Fire alarm system testing completed, except for fire sprinklers that need to be completed and retested.

Continuation of fire alarm system testing, including a trip test of the 5 dry-pipe fire sprinkler systems (see FIR14-00815) for results of these tests. Tested Elevator recall and shunt trip functions, completed testing of SDs for FSDs (all floors) HVAC shutdown SDs, and various SDs for panel rooms door closurers, etc. All tested OK. The DDs used for HVAC shutdown should be changed to latching devices so that the system needs to be reset before the unit restarts. Some device locations (descriptions) need to be changed to better decribe location or their purpose to aid respenders on locating the device in alarm. These will be rested next visit.

Rob Ahten call to indicate the 4 bedroom units have a soffit area that will prevent speaker mouniting at 90 inches. I indicated that through equivilent facilitation, he would be able to install them in these particular locations at at the closest available height. He indicated that they will only be a couple of inches from where planned.
