Horn/strobe has been added to Laundry Room, smoke detectors have not been added to the Garden Room, knox box installed, map installed, set off notification and found that sync'ing is an issue with the sound and possibly with the strobes. I stopped the inspection of the horn/strobes as not to continue dicomfort of the tenants.

Todays inspection consisted of verifying that the panel model, NAC model, phone lines, batteries, wire guage at the FACP, revised horn/strobe layout and initial smoke detector layout was correct. Noted corrections are missing smoke detectors in the Garden Room, need strobe coverage in Laundry Room in Memory Care and possible strobe coverage in the east corridor area just outside of Memory Care. Also no sprinkler devices were checked. Missing Knox box and map at the FACP. Need to verify all requirements in the review comments and the revised drawings have been met.

In regards to the Final Field Inspection request. We will have two inspectors available for the final inspection on this fire alarm project Wednesday April 15th at 1pm. We can commit up to two hours to perform this final inspection. I encourage your team to pre-test the system ahead of time to resolve any initiating device reporting issues or notification appliance synchronization/audibility issues prior to the City field inspectors arrival. This will expedite the field inspection process. The following items below will be points of emphasis during the final inspection:
• Smoke detectors will need to be smoked and report accurately to the FACP;
• Pull stations will be tested and checked for accurate reporting at the panel;
• Notifications appliances will be checked for location, functionality and synchronization in required areas;
• Verification of fire alarm system map with device addresses, function, and location to be at the panel within an approved cabinet;
• Verification of alarm reporting to the Central Service station monitoring facility will also be checked…
Please pass this information along to all pertinent personnel who may be participating in the inspection process.

Plans need to be re-submitted showing the additional notification devices needed and relocated NAC panels and NAC panel triggers. Several strobes are overspaced. Alot of old devices have not been removed. Strobes need to be added in common restrooms and Linen Rooms/Laundery Rooms. There are ceiling obstructions that effect strobe placement and smoke detector placement.
