[Owyhee Place TI #7 6th Floor - Southeast Corner]
The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of relocating and adding sprinkler in the area of work. Existing CPVC in south wing will be replaced with steel pipe. New 2 1/2" main will be added in new corridor. The new sprinkler layout is to accommodate the remodel and comply with NFPA 13 standards. The existing mains and lines will stay in place with existing earthquake bracing and hangers.
(THE OWYHEE – TI #7 – 6TH STORY – SOUTHEAST CORNER) The fire sprinkler system is used for area, story, and height increases. To construct a 2,868 square foot shell office tenant space in the Southeast corner of the 6th story of the Owyhee Place historic building. A common nonrated corridor will also be constructed on the 6th story to connect the exit stairways. The shell and core upgrade work was done under permit BLD13-00938. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior doors, interior windows, suspended acoustical ceilings, suspended gypsum board ceilings, millwork, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 (including quick-response heads where not provided) and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
