Today we verified function of various room detectors, two of the three roof top units and the delayed egress doors. I noted that one hvac unit did not function and I need verification that the spot type detector being utilized is listed for the max air flow expected in the hvac unit, the southwest delayed egress door did not function.

I verified head end equipment and smoke detectors for door release in the corridors. One pair of doors did not latch. There are delayed egress doors installed that will need to be connected to the fire alrm system for releaseas per the IFC. The accordian fire doors have not been installed yet. Still need to test devices in the individual rooms. The sounder bases in the individual rooms need to sound upon genereal alarm (see alarm matrix). Need to test the fire sprinkler devices and the duct detectors for hvac unit shutdown. Signals have been verified for the devices tested today.

Plan modifications are needed for all of the changes required. There are many locations where strobes are over spaced including the Common Areas and in the Sleeping Rooms. Panels have been relocated. Smoke detectors for door release need to be centered on the door and with-in 5'-0" of the door and more than 3'-0" from air diffusers. Strobes need to be added in acouple locations.
