THIS IS A MANUAL DRY STANDPIPE SUPPLIED FROM THE CITY FIRE TRUCKS.
ALSO INSTALL 6" FIRE LINE AS SHOWN FOR THE POSSIBLE FUTURE TENANT SPACE ON THE 1ST FLOOR. THIS FIRE LINE WILL BE CAPED OFF ABOVE THE FLOOR FOR THE POSSIBLE FUTURE FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM IN THE PROPOSED FUTURE TENANT SPACE.

Spoke with Ron Johnson on propose standpipe layout on two different occasions. He approved the layout even though the entire floor was not covered. He told me that the Boise City Fire Fighters carry 150' of hose not 100' as indicated in NFPA and IFC. I asked him to verify the FDC needed to be on the front of the building. He agreed. Ron, also said a fire pump was not need even though (3) outlets are on one floor. The outlets were arrange to be usable to the fire fighters without going far into the building to make a connection. This arrangement required one addtional outlet.

I told the FP contractor the above and that the hose outlets needed to be on the intermediate landing per Boise City.
