[James Castle House]
The fire sprinkler scope of work consists of providing a NFPA 13R system throughout a house which is also used as an art gallery and studio. A new 2” polypipe underground will supply a new 2” riser. The system has a tree type layout.

Structural renovation of existing residential building including new concrete foundation. Construction of wood-framed addition at the south and west sides of existing building. New site amenities throughout lot. This building is fully fire sprinklered for R-3 occupancy.

Alternative Materials and Methods:
This project includes approved code alternates to the following fire protection systems and/or building life safety systems. Please review the supplemental documents attached to this building permit case for details. Fire protection “shop drawings” shall include approved code alternate design.

• The AMM dated 10-03-2017 agrees to treat this project using a NFPA 13R sprinkler system. In addition, various one-hour partitions will be provided and smoke detectors throughout the building. See documents under BLD17-00666 and addendum.
