To remodel and enlarge a bathroom located in an existing 2,412 square foot Single Family Dwelling per plans. Work to include: construct new interior walls to enlarge the bathrooms size to accommodate a new shower; remove the existing swing door and replace with a pocket door; relocate lighting switches; electrical and plumbing work. All work per the approved plans, attached plan review report, and adopted codes. Separate electrical and plumbing permits are required. The Building Official has determined carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke and fire related hazards to be specific hazards associated with buildings and/or structures without smoke and carbon monoxide detection and alarm systems that do not meet current building codes. Carbon monoxide poisoning, smoke and fire related hazards are substantial hazards because the likelihood of death and or injury from said hazards increases in buildings and/or structures. The existing portions of buildings or structures with non-existent or inadequate smoke and carbon monoxide detection and alarm systems that do not meet current building codes must be retrofitted to meet current code requirements. **SRZ**
