Burke ###-#### ###-#### CHANGED TO FAIL FROM PASS AS THE INSPECTOR WAS NOT AWARE OF THE PLANS AND STRUCTURAL DESIGN THAT WERE REQUIRED AND I HAD BEEN TOLD WOULD BE PROVIDED. THE PARTIES INVOLVED APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SLIP ONE THROUGH. I CALLED MR. BURKE BORUP AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND THAT A C.O. WOULD NOT BEISSUED AND THAT HE NEEDED TO TIE UP THE LOOSE ENDS AND GET THE SUBMITTALS IN FOR THE PERMIT.

Plans submitted to determine if they are in compliance with code based on declarations by the architect. The allowable area requirements are met by the classification of the second level as a second story instead of a mezzanine. Based on the size of the second story and the occupancy use as office and associated light storage (posting of floor design live load, 50 psf per architect) the floor area works and existing exiting is in compliance. Future remodel or occupancy use change will require the facility be reviewed for change and the considerations noted in the "comments" section of the permit case summary (copy attached to plans and in file).

Call from Dick Allen, building owner, inquiring about floor plan & site plan requirements for his building in order to obtain a certificateof occupancy for a new tenant in an existing tenant space, formerly used by a wood working shop and the porposed tenant for use as a metals fabrication shop / warehouse / office. The building was constructed in Ada County in approximately 1980 and later annexed into City of Boise. I no changes are planned to the tenant space, I will need plans to be able to establish the construction type; occupancy use groups & possible separation requirements; allowable floor areas, exiting and fire department access with location of nearest hydrant indicated and fire department access shown. If the use to use is as stated, I will issue an Miscellaneous permit per Resolution 13534 for buildings annexed into the city. If the inspection by the structural & fire inspectors do not declare any imminent hazard a certificate of occupancy can be approved for issuance. If there are small problems that can be corrected in a 90 time frame a T.C.O. can be issued for the 90 day period and the tenant can move in in either case. If there are major considerations that need a response the tenant & or owner may need to seek professional design consultation to prepare plans showing correction of required items of concern noted by the inspectors. Mr. Allen is having Barbara Beiers, local architect prepare plans for use. I had also previously discussed this with Mr. Burke Borup, proposed future tenant.
