Was notified by fellow plan reviewer Mike Phillips that the tenant, Spontanous Productions was occupying 2350 Vista without leagal occupancy certificate. My supervisor, Marlene Southard directed me to notify Jennifer Gilliland, Assistant Building Director, of the violation.
She notified Bob Archibald, Structural Div. Supervisor of the situation and directed him to visit the site and notify the tenant if possible and post the building for occupancy without a C.O.
Jennifer Gilliland & Tim Hogland, Building Official, made contact with theatrical group and notified them that they could not occupy the tenant space without a C.O. They were told to provide and application and plans as soon as possible for review and approval.

I tried to call the tenant today, 5/14/01, at the ticket number listed in the community events paper, "SCENE" and left a message. The size of the tenant space and the fact that this is a 'change in occupancy use' requires that plans be prepared by an Idaho licensed architect to prepare plans for an assembly occupancy.

Mr. Stewart & Mr. French came in this a.m. with a plan. I visited with them up front and expalined the plans had to be prepared by an Idaho licensed architect. They are working with an architect but they will be leaving the space by the 15 of June. After they left, I reviewed this information with Marlene Southard, Dave Miller, Bob Archibald & Jennifer Gilliland. Our choices are to move them out now ; or issue a MIS permit to determine existing field conditions and to place additional conditions on the tenant for continued use of the space for a limited time and with a limited occupant load, if the field inspections proves to be satisfactory. If not satisfactory the tenant will need to vacate the premisis when served.
