This building was originally constructed for Chem Lawn as office / parking / storage facility in 1984, BLD1015222 and appears to have been finaled by plumbing & structural in July & August of 1984. No certificate of occupancy was issued and the facility has been occupied as recent as November 2002 by Treasure Valley Beverage, per report from Duane Marler, Airport Project Manager.
The building was to be constructed wiothout any wood inside or out to comply with construction type II-N for area of the building. this was noted on the approved plans by use of the plan review comments. Approved plans were not used to constrct by or the plans were ignored by involved parties, but in any case the wood was used within the structure. This building as-built, would have been classified as type V-N under the 1979 UBC and require sprinkler system for allowable area increase or use of a 2-hour Area Separation Wall constructed to create two buildings within the maximum allowable square footage of an area being 16,000 sq. ft. Under the 2000 IBC, the building would require a sprinkler system throughout or use of fire-walls to divide into fire areas of approximately 14,000 sq. ft. or less by 3-hour wall construction.
Airport Project manager provide copies of original plans from records but they had not copied the permit or plan review report requirements recorded as part of and with the original plans. I faxed a copy of this information to Duane Marler. Also received an application for inspection to determine requirements for issuance of a C.O. per Resolution 13533. Inspectors will determine what is required to obtain a C.O. per the Resolution. Copy of file to Jim Storey with discussion on circumstances and copy to Rick Jackson out box for his reference.

Duane Marler has met with Carl Westfall, plan reviewer, to discuss the data he had found concerning the project at 4663 Enterprise. Mr. Marler has proceeded with the MIS Application per Resolution 13533, proposing to occupy the existing building for uses originally approved. Mr. Marler had had Olson & Associates architects perform an imminent hazards walk through evaluation using the data on the back of the application form. I have attached a copy of Mr. Marler's submitted information for use by the inspection team.
