Spoke to owner (Peter) on 1-4-13. He noted that as of 12-28-12 he has hired a licensed electrical contractor and they will be scheduling a conferance with the electrical inspector. I also spoke to the engineering firm that the owner has hired, they are going over the plumbing work. Spoke to both peter (owner) and engineering firm that the owner needs to higher a licensed architect to provide a set of drawings for city approval. Spoke to engineering firm and owner that the main issue is that the possible building construction type is IIB and construction that was done with no permits is wood construction and that a code analysis may need to be done to see if building may comply with a type VB construction. Will contact owner next thursday to check on progress.

An additional 5 day notice has been issued. Noted that TVCC has pulled a fire sprinkler permit, performed work and has scheduled a final. Tenant to hire an electrical contractor immediatley to repair life/safety issues on pedi sinks (provide GFCI) and set up meeting with electrical inspector. Tenant will need to show progress within next 5 days that they have contacted the plan review dept. and have started the process for submitting plans to obtain a building permit.

On site to investigate viziato spa after speaking with jermey from the fire dept. Noted that tenant has expanded into the adjacent space ( approx. 1600 s.f.) Interior partitions, electrical and plumbing work has occured with no permits. Noted door hardware issues, exiting issues and ada Issues. Also met daryl (electrical inspecotr) and Jim (plumbing inspector) on site. They noted several code violations. Also noted blocked exit, emergency egress lighting that has been painted over and several areas with no fire sprinkler coverage. A 5 day notice was issued to tenant. Also left business card and noted to tennant to have owner call me as soon as possible.
