No access was allowed into backyard yard to check on progress. Went to neighboors house to the west end of subjects backyard. Neighboor to the west let I and Scott Brown access to her backyard to view progress. At this time it appears that no further progress has been made as of 2 weeks ago. Scott Brown stated that he would review case file he has to determine the next step.

Homeowner not home. Was able to observe the rear yard, appears that hole has been backfilled. North fence line appears to be serviceable, patio has been backfilled as well. Not able to observe west side of house at this time.

On site to respond to neighbors compliant regarding homeowner excavating an 8 ft. deep hole that has extended to neighbors ppropertyline and has undermined the patio as well as footing for patio cover. Also noted that I met with Scott Brown with Boise City Code Enforcement as well. After speaking with the home owner and inspecting the site, several life safety issues were noted and need to be addressed by homeowner immediatley. Also noted that homeowner has begun to backfill the excavation due lack of funds to complete project, which was going to be a "fish pond". A correction notice was issued to provide slope stabalization at property lines, plumb and repair fence so it is serviceable, backfill underneath patio to stabilize and provide guard around patio. Also needs to remove or cap rebar that is at bottom of excavation. Noted that previous shoring that was in place has collapsed and is no longer in a seviceable state. Gave homeowner 10 working days to reapir all life safety issues prior to backfilling the remainder of the excavation.
