Spoke with Cable Amsden today on progress for stair repair. Cable noted that they have gotten a bid from Levitt engineering and are in the process of contacting Briggs engineering and Stapley engineering for bids as well. A follow up has been scheduled for Feb. 3rd. 2017.

Check on repair status. Repairs in progress on stairs that have been closed only. Should be completed by end of day. Another building conferance has been scheduled for Jan. 4th. in the a.m. to inspect repairs. Also spoke with Darren with Greystar(maintenance contractor). They will be replacing 500 stair treads. I noted to Darren that they will need to hire a licensed structural engineer to inspect all existing egress stairs in complex. Engineer will note what needs to be replaced and repaired. A building permit will be required to be submitted showing allrequired repairs at there specific location.

Investigate complaint of an exterior concrete stairway that has degraded over time and one tread fell apart causing a piece of concrete to hit someone below. Review all exterior stairways for structural integrity.. A correction notice was issued to obtain a building permit for tread replacements. All handrails and guards appear to be servicable condition. A confreance has been set up for Jan 3rd. to check on progress.
