(BOISE AIR TERMINAL - CONCOURSE "A" EXTERIOR STAIRWAY AND TEMPORARY PATHWAY STRUCTURES) Fire sprinklers are used for area increase of the Airport Terminal. The existing "jetways" (aircraft loading walkways) at Gates #8 and #9 are being removed (Concourse "A"). An exterior stairway is being constructed at Gate #9. Temporary pathway structures for passengers are being constructed at ground level to provide protection from weather and to "corral" passengers away from the airplanes and other hazards. They ARE NOT intended to protect the public from construction debris. These structures will also provide a lighted pathway to the vicinity of the airplanes. For the pathway structures, "temporary" is defined as 180 days. This time limit is renewable at the discretion of the Building Department. All reconfigurations of the pathway structures shall be submitted to the Building Department and approved prior to placement. All work shall be according to the approved drawings, engineering, and plan review conditions on file. THE PATHWAY STRUCTURES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BE FIRE SPRINKLERED.
