Work includes removal of structural portions of interior walls & suspended floors; installation of new support footings, columns, pilasters, noncombustible floor & roof system; all incompliance with fire-resistive construction and protection of openings & penetrations per Tbl. 6-A & section 602 for Type I-FR Construction and separation from other areas of the hospital per Table 3-C, 1-hour occupancy separation. Use of the areas have been reviewed as accessory, non-habitable, mechanical & electrical equipment service rooms. Note: This building is fully sprinkled as condition of hospital occupancy per chapter 9 UBC.
