1. (Stairway rise and run) The rise of steps and stairs shall not be less than 4 inches nor more than 7 inches. The greatest riser height within any flight of stairs shall not exceed the smallest by more than 3/8 inch. Except as permitted for circular, winding, and spiral stairways, the run shall not be less than 11 inches as measured horizontally between the vertical planes of the furthermost projection of adjacent treads or nosings. Stair treads shall be of uniform size and shape, except the largest tread run within any flight of stairs shall not exceed the smallest by more than 3/8 inch. (1997 UBC 1003.3.3.3) Note the exception to tread and riser dimensions for private stairways and stairways to unoccupied roofs and. Also, note the exception to dimensions of risers adjoining a sloping public way. need per pln on one stair approved by planreview not per ubc. 2 3/8 anchor bolts must be replaced to 1/2 x 3 1/2 per engineering 4. saftey clips required on beams.5.barrior post protection at ends of racks in forklift route 6. handrail 34 to 38. 6. fire insp required. 8/23/2001 3:16:51 PM
