(JOHNSTON CONDO - 16TH & 17TH FLOORS) This building is required to be fire sprinklered because it is a high-rise. Two existing 2 level units are being combined into one unit. To create and remodel a 5,128 square foot, 2 level, residential condominium unit (2,491 square foot 2nd level and 2,637 square foot 1st level) on the 16th and 17th floors of an existing high-rise building. Selective demolition is also covered under this permit. Two openings in the 17th floor's post tensioned concrete slab will be filled in with new concrete floor slabs. Work is to include a cantilevered steel beam, steel floor deck, steel angles, epoxied bolts and rebar, concrete slabs, interior nonbearing walls, 2-hr fire-resistive protection, interior doors, interior windows, interior finishes, millwork, and a new exterior insulating window system all per approved drawings, engineering, and plan review conditions on file. The location of fire sprinkler heads shall comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. A "DENSITY REDUCTION SURVEY", AS REQUIRED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, SHALL BE COMPLETED AND THE NEW DEED RECORDED BEFORE A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY IS ISSUED FOR THIS TENANT SPACE.
