(MCDONALD'S) Some exterior and interior remodel, mostly in the dining room area, to an existing 4,892 sq. ft. restaurant building per approved plans. Work to include removing the existing glass solarium on the front of the building, new roof structure with new support beams and steel columns at front of the building, two new exterior shear walls at front of the building, new storefront glazing at front of building, some new roofing work and exterior brick veneer work, new exterior drive-thru windows, some new interior walls, new seating layout in the dining room, new interior finish in the dining room, new suspended ceiling and soffit work in the dining room, new self-service beverage station, some accessible upgrade work, mechanical work, plumbing work, and electrical work. Special Inspection is required for structural field welding, a certificate of compliance for any steel work done in fabricator shop to be provided to inspector in field, expansion and epoxy/adhesive bolts/anchors, and shear wall hold-down installations. Inspection noted new access route from Broadway to building. Modification of front parking now included two planting areas on either side of the walkway. These planting area have a rock/gravel ground cover. A consultation with Planner Sarah Schafer confirmed that this is not acceptable as the rest of the lanscaping is bark dust. A second planting area where the walkway meets the building had the planting area disturbed leaving bare ground.

Correction notice left on building permit, which was posted on the inside of the lobby on the north glass wall. Also left, was copy of "landscaping" plan with the areas not in compliance circled in red.
