(BROADWAY PLAZA) To upgrade the south section of an existing 2-hour rated fire wall (area separation wall) that runs east to west by providing the required 30" minimum parapet above the lower roof per approved plans and an Upgrade Agreement on file. This fire wall separates a restaurant tenant on one side and retail spaces on the other side. This permit does not establish occupancy for any tenant. This is a Scope of Work Permit. A Letter of Completion is to be issued when done. Work to include a new 2-hour rated framed 30" minimum parapet extension, some steel brace members, new blocking where required, some new roofing, and some new exterior siding work. Architect has requested a Deferred Submittal for the structural calculations to both the Plan Reviewer and Building Inspector to be provided prior to any of the roofing membrane being installed. Special Inspection is required for any structural field welding (as shown) or another connection detail (such as bolts) will need to be provided. A Certificate of Compliance for any steel work done in an approved fabricator shop is to be provided to the inspector in the field. NOTE: This building is not fire sprinklered. JCB
