(TOM GRAINEY'S BAR - GAME ROOM EXPANSION - OLD STATESMAN BUILDING) This building is fire sprinklered to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistance rated construction.To expand an existing 2,550 square foot bar tenant space located on the 1st story of an existing historic building into an adjacent 931 square foot area. The expansion area will be used as a game room. This tenant also has a bar in the basement that is beyond the scope of work allowed under this permit. Work is to include an interior nonbearing wall and a new doorway through an interior masonry wall. In addition, the "mid-stairway" doors located at the 06th Street entrance will be removed and handrails installed. Stairway treads are required be uniform. Stairway risers are required be uniform. Modifications will also be done to the alley entrance. A license agreement is required from ACHD before any work is done in the alley. A copy of the license agreement shall be submitted before granting a Certificate of Occupancy. New exterior windows will also be installed. All work shall be per the approved drawings, structural engineering, and the plan review report on file. The location of fire sprinkler heads shall comply with NFPA 13-2002 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
