(FEDERAL DEFENDERS OFFICE - TENANT EXPANSION - 3RD FLOOR) Under the 1979 UBC, the fire sprinkler system is used to allow the 5th story. To reconfigure an existing office tenant space located on the 3rd floor of an existing 5 story building. This space will be expanded into an adjacent 1,278 square foot area on one side and reduced by 418 square feet on another side. After the remodel, this tenant space will have a total floor area of about 3,837 square feet. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, a 1-hr corridor wall, two 20-minute doors in the corridor wall, wire glass, and finishes. The existing 1-hr corridor located outside of this tenant space shall, as a minimum, be maintained in compliance with the 1979 UBC. Alterations to that corridor shall comply with the 2000 IBC where practicable. All work shall be in accordance with the approved drawings and the plan review report on file. The location of fire sprinkler heads shall comply with NFPA 13-2002 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
